TOOLS: C wrench, work gloves, flashlight, multi-tool and Safety Shoes recommended.

CLOTHING: AV Black clothing is required for performances. A Black shirt with a collar, Black Pants, Belt, Black Socks, Black Shoes. Hair should look natural color. If your hair is a wild color, notify the call steward when you are offered the call. For work calls without an audience, attire shall be neutral with no additional requirements unless requested.

PARKING: Stagehands have permission to use the private parking lot between the Kansas City Convention Center South Dock and the Kauffman Performing Arts Center. In addition, stagehands may use the back of the lot behind XS Lighting as long as XS Lighting has plenty of room to move their trucks. These lots are not open to patrons or the general public for event parking and may be closed with little notice for events. Additional parking is available in the Arts District Garage, standard rates apply.

WHERE TO CHECK IN: When you arrive, enter through the security office and sign in. Take the elevator down to the stage level and meet with the steward at one of the two crew rooms or backstage.

Take note of the color-coded walls. Blue: You’re in the area of Helzberg Hall. Red: You’re in the area of Kauffman Theater. Yellow you are between the two areas.
